So I am currently doing the 5:2 diet. I started at 145 lbs/ 5ft. 10 in/. I never had a problem with weight gain, I could eat all I wanted and not gain a pound. I’ve lost weight on my 4th week of this diet. However, I don’t need/want to lose that much weight. I started the diet to reap the other benefits being IGF-1, SHBG levels etc.
